Slovenia is quite small country, so it’s easy to drive throu all of it. You can hire a car and just drive around. From Ljubljana you can drive to the see side, to mountains or to any place in less than 2 hours.

Brdo pri Kranju

Brdo pri Kranju, a beautiful estate beneath the mountains, is the perfect place for protocol meetings at the highest level, conferences and congresses an other official events and for private ceremonies. It is used by Slovenia state – Slovenian protocol.

It is located very close to Slovenia’s capital city Ljubljana.  It is easily accessible by highway and is very near the Jože Pučnik Airport (Ljubljana Airport).

Estate spreads to 496 ha of green areas, which are arranged in the park and used for agricultural activities, especially forestry, wildlife breeding, and aquaculture. At the Hippodrome, the breeding center for Standard bred horse. Farmed forests, ponds and open spaces are full of flora and fauna – very bio-divers.

The greatest example of the estate’s cultural heritage is the Renaissance manor – Brdo mansion. It is surrounded by several other structures:  a new conference hall, a hotel that can accommodate conferences, a wellness center, a restaurant, a press center, a horseback riding center, a golf court, several cottages in the forest and hay-racks in the meadows. Modern capacities and a team of professional, experienced employees can fulfill every wish and exceed all expectations.

In 2001, the protocol facility hosting summit between U.S. President George W. Bush and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

At the end of 2007 was at the site of former barracks upgraded new palace Congress Center. Ultra-transparent architecture  between Zois pristava and slopes of the forest and near the lower pool. Spartan equipment rooms reminiscent of the creation of the Baltic countries.  The new congress center lies at the edge of the park, above the lake. In 2008, it was the center of the Slovenian presidency of the European Union Council.
